Unexpected loss from Renova

Rabotnicki suffered an unexpected loss at home from Renova (3-4) at the first round of the new season. It was obvious that our defense was far below the quality level it was expected, proving that much work has to be done in the next period.

Renova took the lead after just four minutes when Sulejmani scored, and three minutes later it was 0-2 when Sulejmani put the ball past Bozinovski.

Rabotnicki tried to come back when Petar Petkovski scored a beautiful goal from 25 meters, but Renova took a two goal lead at the beginning of the second half, when Stojanovski scored after a big mistake from our defense. Stjepanovic scored from the penalty score to reduce Renova’s lead, but once again Stojanovski was harmful for our team, scoring another goal after another mistake from our defensive line.

Aleksandar Ristevski scored an owngoal, but it was not enough for our team to avoid a defeat at the beginning of the new season.
