FC Rabotnicki achieved a great victory (2-1) over FC Shkendija

Rabotnicki achieved a great victory over Shkendija, defeating the current champion 2-1 at the “Todor Proeski” arena. It is the second victory in a row for our team and seventh place in the table after the second round of the competition. Mario Stankovski and Anes Rusevic were the scorers of the goals for Rabotnicki in this match, and Adenis Shala scored for Shkendija.

Borce Hristov’s team played a great match against the champion and after a break of five years defeated Shkendija in Skopje. Offensive approach, aggressiveness in the midfield and solid defense, was the recipe for victory.

Mario Stankovski scored a beautiful goal in the 23rd minute, after shooting from twenty meters in the opposite upper corner of Kostadin Zahov’s goal. FC Shkendija goalkeeper had no chance to defend it. However, FC Shkendija caught up very quickly.


Three minutes later, Adenis Shala scored after passed several defenders from FC Rabotnicki and caught Burhan Mustafa on a “wrong leg”.

Mario Stankovski had a new great chance for the lead after the assist of Marjan Ristovski, he came out alone in front of Zahov, but he shot near the post.
In the second half, however, Rabotnicki gained a new advantage. The offensive game brought a new chance, Mario Stankovski hit the post, the ball bounced at the end to Anes Rusevic who scored in the net of Shkendija in the 59th minute.

The guests had several chances until the end, Nazifi hit the post, Hasani also had a chance, but the triumph remained for FC Rabotnicki. FC Shkendija in the 88th minute was left with one player less due to the exclusion of Jan Krivak.
