Luck was not on our side: Penalty loss from Vardar in the Super Cup

Rabotnicki didn’t manage to lift the trophy in the Macedonian Super Cup, after losing the match against Vardar in penalty shootout, with match ending 1-1 after 120 minutes of play.

Filip Ivanovski put Vardar ahead in 11th minute, putting a well placed shot in the net. Rabotnicki started the second half much better, with Ilijoski scoring for Rabotnicki.

After 120 minutes there was no winner, so the penalty lottery gave the winner. Cikarski and Hambardzhumjan were accurate in the first series, as well as Vujchic and Stojkov in the second. Ilievski scored for Rabotnicki, but Filip Ivanovski failed. Damian Siskovski save his shot and gave our team a small lead.

However, the last two series turned the result around, with Gachevski saving the shots from Altiparmakovski and Kire Ristovski, so Vardar took the trophy thanks to a goal from the Brazilian Felipe.
