Akademija Pandev leaves Skopje with three points
Rabotnicki suffered unexpected defeat in the home match against Akademija Pandev, losing 1-2 despite taking the lead in the first half.
Our team was much better at the beginning of the match. Rabotnicki had the first big chance after just five minutes, when the referee pointed to the spot after foul on Todorov, but Kire Markovski didn’t convert the penalty into goal. Three minutes later “the reds” took the lead when Gofry shot past Vujanac and scored the opening goal.
The guests from Strumica managed to come back as Jani Atanasov scored the penalty awarded in the 27. minute, after Todorov’s foul in the box. Ostoja Stjepanovic had a dangerous free kick before the end of the first half, but his shot smashed the post.
Rabotnicki also has a great chance in the second half, but Gofry couldn’t score a second goal. Aleksandar Mishov punished the home side for the missed chances, scoring the winner for Akademija Pandev in the 75. minute. The hosts had one more chance before the end, but Kadriu hit the post.
