Nenad Monev and Rabotnicki are part of the structures of ECA

The Managing Board of the European Club Association (EKA) has accepted the candidacy of the Secretary General of FC Rabotnicki – Skopje, Nenad Monev, who has been elected as one of the five members of the EKA Committee on Social Dialogue. The mandate of this extremely important organizational committee of EKA is for the next four years. The five-member committee besides our club also includes Manchester City, APOEL, Hajduk Split and Shiroki Brijeg.

The Social Dialogue Committee (SDC), the Social Dialogue of the EU is organized in accordance with the European Commission, where on one hand are European football clubs represented by the EKA and the European Professional Leagues Committee (EPCL), and on the other is the FIFPro Division Europe (Union of Professional Footballers). The aim and tasks of these bodies, monitored by both the European Union and the European Parliament, are to discuss and agree on the social and working conditions of player-club relations at the level of top professional European football.

According to the statute and organizational structure of EKA, with the choice of membership in the Committee, FC Rabotnicki is one of the leading clubs in the Eka Institutional Relations Working Group (SDC). This working group comprises 20 clubs, represented by people who hold senior management positions in their clubs. Members are football clubs Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona, Inter, Roma, Galatasaray, Anderlecht and others.

It is my great honor and pleasure that FC Rabotnicki and I will be part of the EKA Social Dialogue Committee and the Institutional Relations Working Group for the next four years. I’ve been part of this association for five years now, as a club representative. Two years ago I was offered the opportunity to be part of the prestigious Club Management Education Program (ECA CMP) and upon successful completion in June this year came a new great professional challenge for both me and FC Rabotnicki, as representatives of Macedonian football at this high European level. The ability to be, to analyze, to create and to make decisions alongside the big football clubs is a great motivation and responsibility for me. FC Rabotnicki has always been one of the best organized sports collectives in the country and the experience I have gained over the past nine years as part of the management of the “Hero of Debar Maalo” has enabled me to achieve this and continue to work in the future of one higher professional level and all the experience gained there to transfer here in my Rabotnicki ”, says RK Rabotnicki Secretary General Nenad Monev.

The European Club Association (EKA) is an association representing the interests of the best clubs in their countries, the professional association of football clubs in UEFA. An association recognized by UEFA and FIFA and formed in 2008 as a replacement for the G-14, which consisted of a small number of elite clubs and was not recognized by UEFA. EKA’s mission is to create a new, more democratic model of governance that truly reflects the key role of clubs in modern football. As an organization it strives to promote several football fields: club benefits, club protection program and their interests, financial fair play, the rule of sports law, international competition calendar and EU affairs.

FC Rabotnicki is a club that always strives to keep up with the new trends in European football and our presence at EKA is very important in that regard, for bringing new experiences and applying them to the club’s existence. It is an honor to be part of the EKA structures and we hope that in the future we will have a full contribution to the membership of Secretary General Nenad Monev in the Committee for Social Dialogue, ”said President Dragan Popovski.

At the EKA General Assembly in Geneva on September 9-10, Juventus’ first man Andrea Agnelli was re-elected to the presidency. The board also includes Nasser Al-Kaleifi (PSG), Pedro Lopez Jimenez (Real Madrid), Raul Sanlehi (Arsenal), Edwin van der Sar (Ajax), Ed Woodward (Manchester United), Mihael Gerlinger (Bayern Munich)…
