Unlucky defeat in the city derby against Vardar

Rabotnicki suffered another defeat, after losing in the city derby against Vardar in the 12. round of the First League. Luck was not on our side, as the opponents scored both their goals in the final 20 minutes.

Rabotnicki didn’t allow the opponent do dominate on the field, but our players didn’t know how to score from the chances they created, history repeating itself once again this season. Our team had the first chance in the second half, Ivan Markovic shot dangerously from 30 meters, but Gacevski pulled up a save.

Just two minutes later, Vardar took the lead with a lot of luck, after Avramovski’s free kick took a deflection and suprised our goalkeeper. The same player scored also the second goal of the match, from a counter-attack in the added time of the second half.
