Heartbreaking exit from the Macedonian Cup after a draw with Shkendija

Rabotnicki didn’t lose a match in the quarterfinal of the Macedonian Cup, but still didn’t manage to enter into the semifinals after being eliminated in two legs against Shkendija. The first match in Tetovo ended 1-1, and today’s second leg finished 2-2, with Shkendija progressing in the semifinals because of more away goals scored.

Petar Petkovski had a great shot from 25 meters saved before Skendija took the lead, when Nafiu placed the ball into the net after a great linkup play from the left side.

Alimi hit the post in the 50. minute for Skendija. Rabotnicki equalized (1-1) after Jevtoski scored the penalty, from the handball from one of Skendija’s defenders. Besart Ibraimi scored a very beautiful goal which brought Skendija in the lead once again, Neto missing a great chance for a third goal for the guests when his shot hit the post.

Mario Krstovski scored the second goal for Rabotnicki in the 84. minute and our team missed a great chance for victory when Redzepi saved Petkovski’s shot from less than ten meters.
