FC Rabotnicki eliminated FC Shkendija for the quarterfinals in the Cup of Macedonia
FC Rabotnicki secured a place in the quarterfinals of the Cup of Macedonia after triumphing against Shkendija (3-2) in the round of 16 match at the FFM ground complex. Milan Ilievski’s team played an excellent second half and made up for the deficit they had after the first half (1-2).
Vlatko Stojanovski gave FC Rabotnicki the lead in the ninth minute with a header, after Din Alomerovic sent an excellent cross from the left side.
FC Shkendija equalized in the 17th minute, after the corner from the left side, and Klisman Tsake was the most resourceful in the box.
In the 43rd minute, Dashmir Elezi lobbed Igor Alexovski for 1-2.
But FC Rabotnicki did not give up. In the 47th minute, Marceline Gando Biala scored a wonderful goal with a header for 2-2, and Atdhe Mazari in the 63rd minute, ensured a complete turnaround.
In the finish, Dimitar Danev had a colossal chance to score a fourth goal for FC Rabotnicki, but goalkeeper Kostadin Zakhov managed to tame his shot. And Igor Aleksovski had an excellent intervention and saved the equalizer in the last attack of the team from Tetovo.
