Goce Sedloski – Strength, character, experience, trophies
As of today, FC Rabotnicki has a new head coach. The team is taken over by Goce Sedloski, who signed a contract with the club until June 2025.
He is a born leader, he was like that as a football player as well, a long-time captain of the Macedonian national football team, the first to make history with 100 games in the national team jersey.
He had an impressive football career, his beginnings were in Pobeda, then he made a transfer to HNK Hajduk Split, and from there to England, to the FC Sheffield Wednesday, at a time when it was almost unthinkable for footballers from these areas.
Several years of loyalty to FC Dinamo Zagreb followed, he went briefly to the Japanese FC Vegalta Sendai, he also played for the Turkish FC Diyarbakır, and ended his career in the Austrian FC Matersburg.
Goce Sedloski also started his coaching career in Austria, as an assistant coach at FC Mattersburg. Then he was an assistant coach of the A-team of Macedonia, which he briefly led as a temporary coach.
He had his first independent coaching job in FK Horizont Turnovo, with which he reached the second place in the Macedonian championship, and he also led it in European competitions.
Then he moved to FC Vardar, first as a director, and after sitting on the coaching bench he won two championship titles and one Super Cup in the period from 2015 to 2017.
Goce Sedloski embarked on an international career, was the coach of FC Riga, NK Shiroki Brijeg, led the second team of FC Dinamo Zagreb, and in 2021 he returned to Macedonia as the coach of FC Shkupi and won the championship title in the 2021/22 season.
Goce Sedloski’s last job before coming to FC Rabotnicki was on the bench of the Albanian first league club FC Vlaznia.
